FLEX FM is one of the oldest pirate radio station in the UK . Flex FM has been broadcasting in London on different VHF frequencies with different stations since 1992 .

The program consists of house, garage, jungle and techno music shows. The Flex FM studio is in an undisclosed location in south-west London . The transmitters are located on apartment blocks. Since May 2017 the station has had an official license from the regulatory authority Ofcom . Flex FM has won various awards for its program at international radio festivals.

Flex FM traditionally broadcasts on 99.7 MHz with different stations and different powers. Like other London pirate stations, Flex FM uses a studio-to-transmitter link (STL) to keep its broadcasting studio secret and uses an internet stream for this. The internet signal is transmitted to the transmitter via an infrared link.
