Flow facets

Flow facets are shell-shaped depressions in cave walls that arise during the vadose phase of the cave in the turbulent , corrosive water. The facets are directional and there is a relationship between flow velocity and size. The faster the water flows, the smaller the facets become.

The flow facets thus provide information about the fossil fuel conditions in the dry-fallen corridor sections.
