Fljótavík bay is located in the north of the Hornstrandir peninsula in the Vestfirðir region in the far northwest of Iceland .
The bay lies east of Straumnes , is 3.5 kilometers wide and extends two kilometers into the country. There are no more permanently inhabited houses in the bay. It cannot be reached via roads or slopes. Aðalvík is to the west of this bay .
