Raft landing

A raft landing is a landing stage for rafts.

From the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century, the raft lands, like the shipping ports, were also goods handling points for rafting . Here the cargoes carried on the raft were unloaded, and the raft was dismantled and stored to dry for further use as construction timber.

Nowadays raft lands are used for tourism . The pleasure trips on rafts start or end here.
