Flor de Mayo

Flor de Mayo ("May flower") is a novel by the Spanish writer Vicente Blasco Ibáñez .

The novel was written in Valencia ( Spain ) in 1895 . This work is the story of a Valencian fishing family and their ship "Flor de Mayo", which gave the novel its name. The novel is about the hard everyday life of Valencia's fishermen and the unpredictability of the Mediterranean on the Levante coast off Valencia.
