Florian Kasseroler (born March 22, 1960 ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) from the state of Vorarlberg . From 1999 to 2004, Kasseroler represented the Vorarlberg Freedom Party as a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament for one legislative period . He has been the full-time mayor of the market town of Nenzing since 2003 .

Kasseroler is married and has four children.

Life and education

After attending primary and secondary school, Florian Kasseroler completed an apprenticeship at the HTL Dornbirn for the textile industry. After graduating from high school , he switched to the ministry of finance and was cash manager at the main customs office in Feldkirch until he took over the office of mayor.

Political activity

Nenzing community

From 1995 to 2003 Florian Kasseroler was Deputy Mayor of the market town of Nenzing. In the state elections in Vorarlberg in 1999 he was elected for the first time for the FPÖ in the Vorarlberg state parliament, where he acted as the social spokesman for the Freedom Party. After the end of the legislative period, Kasseroler resigned from the state parliament in 2004. In 2003 he was appointed mayor of the market town of Nenzing as the successor to Bruno Hummer. In 2005 he was confirmed in this office for the first time by direct election and in 2010 he was again elected mayor with 59.85% of the direct votes. In a competition of the EU Committee of the Regions in 2010, Florian Kasseroler was able to achieve the title of "Austria's EU Vice Mayor of the Year 2010" in 2010 thanks to his knowledge of the European Union . In the direct mayor election in 2015, Florian Kasseroler was again able to clearly prevail with 73.7% of the votes and was re-elected for the third time in a row.

As part of his work as mayor, he is chairman of the social committee, the finance committee, the family / kindergarten committee, the property traffic commission and the service appraisal commission.

Freedom Party

Florian Kasseroler is local party chairman and parliamentary group chairman of the FPÖ Nenzing. He is also a member of the FPÖ state party leadership.

In addition to his role as mayor, Florian Kasseroler also took on other responsibilities within the municipality and the Walgau region and in the state of Vorarlberg.

Political tasks

He is actively involved in the development of the region. He is the founding chairman of the successful "Regio im Walgau". He is also a board member of the Vorarlberg community association and a member of the European committee of the Austrian community association as well as chairman of the Seniorenbetreuungs-GmbH Nenzing.
