The Datong Yungang Airport ( Chinese 大同云冈机场 , Pinyin Datong Yungang Jīchǎng ) is the commercial airport in the city of Datong in the province of Shanxi of the People's Republic of China . It is located in Yunzhou County . The airport is the second largest airport in Shanxi Province after Taiyuan-Wusu Airport and opened in December 2005 after a four-year construction period.
