The Ufa International Airport ( Russian Международный аэропорт Уфа , IATA code : UFA ; ICAO code : UWUU ) is an international airport in Ufa , a major city in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan (Europe).
The airport, which opened in 1963, has five runways at a height of 136.7 meters. The airport infrastructure is designed, among other things, for take-offs and landings of aircraft the size of Boeing 747s .
It is served by Aeroflot , Azerbaijan Airlines , UTair and Ural Airlines .
