The song comes from the soundtrack of the film Poveri ma ricchi by Fausto Brizzi , which was written and composed by Gabbani. The song was later also included on the album Magellano , which was released on April 28, 2017.

After his success in the newcomer category at the 2016 Sanremo Festival , Gabbani was invited by director Fausto Brizzi to write the soundtrack for his film Poveri ma ricchi . A week before the film hit theaters, the song was played on the radio for the first time on December 9, 2016.
The music video was directed by Gabriele Lucchetti. It shows images from the film Poveri ma ricchi interspersed with images of Gabbani that were shot in the Apuan Alps .
