formation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The formation is a post-treatment or surface treatment in surface technology . In this case, a surface layer is generated or changed by electrical action and thus, for example, the functionality of electronic components is brought about. Typical examples are oxide cathodes and dielectric layers in electrolytic capacitors .

Furthermore, the change in a semiconductor transition during the initial semiconductor measurement is referred to as formation. A change in the interface is brought about by electrical action, which brings about or improves the functionality. A typical example is the reduction of the leakage current of a barrier layer by impressing a high reverse current. Here this is generally undesirable behavior.
