Formulation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Formulation (also: formulation ; English formulation ) is a term from linguistic conversation analysis . These are descriptive / descriptive utterances with which a speaker refers to the previous contribution of a conversation partner, takes it up in a more or less modified form or interprets it and gives the conversation partner the opportunity to confirm that he was correctly understood, or even to contradict it. In linguistic interaction, formulations therefore have a function to ensure understanding.
