The Forster Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is north of Cape Crewe and east of Cape Wilson .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009. It is named after the German botanist Johann Reinhold Forster (1729–1798), participant in the second South Sea voyage (1772–1775) of the British navigator James Cook on the HMS Resolution .
