The Forstwerder Bridge in Halle (Saale) connects the large island of Forstwerder in the Saale with the Trothaer Ufer in the north of the city. It was built in 1928 in the form of an arched bridge based on a design by Adolf Heilmann to replace the ferry connection to the then newly built river bathing facility (open-air swimming pool) on the island. The bathroom no longer exists today. In the meantime, the island has become part of a protected landscape area.

The pedestrian bridge is in the immediate vicinity of the Trotha weir and spans the Mühlgraben, a side arm of the Saale, which is also the entrance to the Trotha lock . In order not to impair shipping traffic, the bridge was equipped with the necessary height, which reached 6.7 meters at the top . Its wingspan is 47 meters. It is popularly known as the "Katzenbuckelbrücke" because of its shape.

It is made of reinforced concrete . The steps were concreted on. The railing was made of transparent bar mesh. The width and thickness of the reinforced concrete arch decrease towards the apex, the thickness from 35 to 30 cm. The bridge fits aesthetically into the picturesque river landscape.
