Fort Grosnez is a Victorian coastal fort on a north-facing peninsula in the north of the Channel Island of Alderney , west of Braye Bay, in the extension of which lies the Alderney breakwater . The construction of the fort was decided in 1850 and carried out in 1851-1853.
Fort Groznez was equipped with 28 cannons in 7 batteries. The Braye Battery in the bay was armed with 9 cannons. There was a garrison of the royal artillery.
