history

In 2002, the Fortek 2002 TD (Take Down) model came on the market in small numbers. Later larger numbers were manufactured by Steyr rifles in Austria. As the successor to a straight-pull rifle, originally only intended for the .50 BMG cartridge, the single-shot rifle introduced in 2002 is now available in eleven calibers. In addition to .308 Winchester , .300 Winchester Magnum , .338 Lapua Magnum and .50 BMG , the buyer can also purchase exotic calibers such as 9.5 × 70, .338 Norma Magnum }, .375 Snype Tac, .375 Tyr, .408 Chey Tac, .416 Tyr or .460 Steyr decide. Since the Fortmeier M2002 TD rifle was built, the tinkerer has always tried to make improvements.

Module art

The single-shot M2002 is designed as a take-down weapon and can be dismantled into four essential parts quickly and without tools. To change the caliber, the shooter only needs to replace two of the four parts: the barrel and the slide. All other components remain the same - this applies to all eleven calibers of the .308 Win. up to .50 BMG. Switching to a different caliber is therefore not only easy, it also takes no longer than about a minute.
