Fair Trade Forum

The Forum Fairer Handel eV is a network of fair trade organizations in Germany. It was founded in November 2002 in Cologne. The office of the association is in Berlin. The Fair Trade Forum has seven member organizations (as of 2014) and twelve other organizations are involved in working groups.

The aims of the Fair Trade Forum are:

  • the expansion of fair trade ,
  • the coordination of the activities of the member organizations,
  • a more effective enforcement of demands against politics and trade,
  • the demarcation from unfair trading practices.

The work and cooperation of the Forum Fairer Handel and its members is divided into the working groups "Principle and Politics", "Campaign and Public Relations" and "Educational Work".

Members of the forum are the Weltladen umbrella organization , the import organizations BanaFair , Weltpartner eG , El Puente , Globo and GEPA and the organic farming association Naturland .

In the working groups, the Service Agency Communities in One World , the church aid organizations Bread for the World and Misereor , the church youth organizations AEJ and BDKJ , the children's mission organization “Die Sternsinger”, the working group of the one-world state networks (AGL), the conference of Group advisor, Transfair e. V. , the Consumer Initiative eV , INKOTA-netzwerk eV and the Fair Trade eV.

As part of the joint public relations work, the forum has been organizing the Fair Week every year since 2001 .
