Forum award

The forum vergabe e. V. is a German association that is committed to promoting public procurement law . In cooperation with the Bundesanzeiger-Verlag it operates a database with decisions by the public procurement tribunals and the higher regional courts . In addition there is the member magazine "monthly info" out and offers training and further education events. The most important event is the forum award talks (previously Badenweiler Talks), which take place every 1.5 years in Fulda. Experts and politicians meet here for three days to exchange ideas.

history

The forum award was founded in 1993 after the first talks in Badenweiler. Since 2004, the forum has been awarding the International Public Procurement Award (IPA) endowed with € 5,000.

Membership structure

The association currently has over 500 members (organizations, associations, companies, people), mainly from Germany, but also from Austria and Switzerland. The members come from all circles concerned with questions of public procurement (federal, state, local, business, scientific, courts, public procurement chambers, lawyers, consultants, specialist media, etc.).

It is chaired by Volker Wissing , Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture for Rhineland-Palatinate.
