Four Ladies Bank

The Four Ladies Bank ( English for four women bank ) is a bank off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is north of Prydz Bay .
The bank was discovered during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . It is named after the four women involved in this research trip, including the wife and daughter of the expedition leader Lars Christensen . The designation was confirmed in July 1964 by the US Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF).
