The ideal “dolmen with corridor” ( French dolmen à couloir ) here in the tumulus

The Dolmen of Rigoule , surrounded by a number of menhirs , is located near the hamlet of Lavagnes, north of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert , near Lodève in the Hérault department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The Rigoule Dolmen is one of the best-preserved dolmen à couloir (Gangdolmen) in the region. The small dolmen, covered by a 3.3 m long and 1.7 m wide ceiling plate, lies in the remains of its cairn in which the entrance canal is clearly visible but without stones.

The Menhir du Lacam des Lavagnes is around 150 m away .
