Frogs from Leidnitz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fröschel von Leidnitz , also Frosch von Leibnitz or Leidnitz Fröstel , was a writer who lived around 1400. Nothing is known about his life. Since his work has Bavarian-Austrian traits, he probably came from this dialect area. However, there is no known place in Leidnitz.

Works by Fröschel von Leidnitz have been handed down in manuscripts from the 15th and 16th centuries. Since the Berlin manuscript mgf. 922, which includes Die Liebesprobe , dates from the first half of the 15th century, Fröschel von Leidnitz probably lived around 1400.
