Early gold

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frühgold is a predominantly waxy , long-falling table potato , of the very early ripening group with a low tendency to black spots. Early gold is characterized by a red-purple flower. It has a pronounced dormancy. On the one hand, this makes it storable, and on the other hand, it should be pre-germinated .

The tubers are rather elongated and the size is balanced. It is resistant to the biotypes Ro1 and Ro4 of the gold nematode . The variety was approved in 2004. In terms of taste, Frühgold does a little worse, while careful clearing must be ensured during harvest.
