Fraispertuis City is a French amusement park that specializes in the Wild West and pirates theme .
Opened in 1966, the park is near the municipality of Jeanménil , 100 km from Strasbourg and 33 km from Epinal . The main attractions of the park are the Far West , Sombreros , Blizzard and Santiago carousels , the Pirates Attack boat ride , the Le Flum water slide, the pirate swing and the Far West Express . There are six restaurants in the park.
The “ Timber Drop ” roller coaster from the manufacturer S&S Worldwide , which opened at the beginning of July 2011, held the world record as the steepest steel roller coaster for around six months with its first descent at 113 degrees, before it broke the record on the “Green Lantern Coaster” in Warner, Australia at the end of December Bros. Movie World .
In 2016 the park reached a new visitor record with 271,000 guests.
