Frances Sherwood

Frances Sherwood (born June 4, 1940 ) is an American writer .

Life

Frances Sherwood was born in California . She taught English literature at Indiana University South Bend . Two of her short stories were awarded an O. Henry Prize : The short stories History in 1989 and Basil the dog in 2000. Her short story Basil the dog was also nominated for the 1999 Nebula Award .
