Francesco Bertos
Francesco Bertos (* before 1693 in Venice , † after 1733 ) was an Italian sculptor .
Life
Bertos mainly created small decorative groups of sculptures, using bronze and marble as materials. His work can be found in various collections in Europe and North America, and there is a marble statue in the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
Little is known about his person; he worked in Rome in 1693 and in Venice in 1710. The last record of his work comes from a commissioned work for the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua from 1733.
