Francis Nolan

Francis Nolan is Professor of Phonetics at the University of Cambridge and Head of the Department of Linguistics .

From 1993 to 1995 he was Managing Director of the International Phonetic Association , from 1999 to 2003 Vice President. His professional focus is on phonetics and phonology , as well as on forensic linguistics .

For the Harry Potter films he designed the Parselmouth language .
