Franciscanessen van OLV van het H. Hart

In 1880 some Franciscan Sisters of the congregation of the same name came from the mother house in Bergen to Herne and took care of the Godshuis. Just a year later (1881) they became an independent congregation under episcopal law, with the name Congregatie van de Franciskanessen van OL Vr. Van het H. Hart .

The congregation had not had any vocations since 1925, and the building that they had acquired in the meantime also fell into disrepair. On November 27, 1959, the Congregation became part of the Augustinies of Zwartstersters van Halle (Belgium).
