Francisco Barba (born August 7, 1953 ), also known by the nickname El Durito , is a retired Mexican football player in the position of defender .

Life

Barba began his professional career at Club Deportivo Guadalajara and was part of the squad of the Mexican selection at the 1972 Olympic football tournament , where he was used in the last group game against the Soviet Union (1: 4).

He then played for city rivals CSD Jalisco and played his only A international match on August 1, 1975 against the GDR national soccer team , which was lost 3-2.

In 1979 he moved to the Guadalajara- based club Atlas , where he was under contract until 1982.

He then worked for one season each for CF Monterrey (1982/83) and Tampico-Madero FC (1983/84).
