The Francistown Stadium is a multifunctional stadium in Francistown , Botswana . It is mostly used for soccer games and for the home games of TAFIC FC Francistown . The stadium has a capacity of over 26,000 seats. Due to delays and mismanagement, the stadium could not be completed in time for the 2010 World Cup , as originally planned. The stadium is located on the western edge of the city.

On August 6, 2015, when Francistown Stadium opened, it had a capacity of 26,500 people. On September 5, 2015, it was home to the first game between the national soccer teams of Botswana and Burkina Faso during qualifying for the 2019 African Cup of Nations . Botswana won 1-0.
