Franco Barberi

Franco Barberi (* 1944 in Turin ) is an Italian documentary filmmaker and screenwriter.

Life

Barberi worked as an underground filmmaker since the mid-1960s ; after moving to Rome he found work in the film industry and also wrote two screenplays, u. a. for Mario Bava . From 1978 he produced and directed numerous documentaries. At the Torino Film Festival he was one of the initiators of the Doc2000 competition . On this occasion he presented the medium-length film Ritratto di un amico in 2000 .
