Franco Brocani

Franco Brocani (born September 10, 1938 in Murazzano , Province of Cuneo ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in directing, Brocani made a few short films and was assistant director to Pier Paolo Pasolini . He also played a handful of actor roles in 1968 and the following year. In 1970 he made his debut with his feature film Necropolis , which today enjoys cult status. He then turned - in addition to writing two scripts - mainly to painting and also focused his attention on the optical component in his two films made in the early 1980s. It wasn't until the new millennium that he made two more feature films .

In 2009 a short documentation was created about Brocani, Franco Brocani - Cuore meccanico in corpo anonimo .
