Franco Dall'Ara

Alfredo "Franco" Dall'Ara (born August 22, 1933 in Bergamo ) is an Italian enduro athlete .

Career

Franco Dall'Ara began his motorsport career in 1948. In 1953 he celebrated his first major success by winning the Milano – Taranto long-distance trip on a Mi-Val 175. In the years 1955 to 1957 he won the Italian off-road race Valli Bergamasche on a Mi-Val 125 . In 1956, Dall'Ara was also the Italian Enduro Champion in the class up to 125 cm³. In 1957 he won the Italian championship in the class up to 250 cc on a Moto Guzzi . In the following years he remained loyal to this brand and won the Valli Bergamasche in 1960 in the class up to 250 cm³ and in 1963 in the class up to 100 cm³. He later switched to Moto Morini .

He took part in 17 international six-day trips and won ten gold medals.
