Frank Bailey (born August 2, 1907 in Burnley , † 2nd quarter 1969 ibid) was an English football player .

Career

Bailey was founded in 1924 as an amateur through the Burnley FC in the Football League registered but came to no use and also joined in March 1926 on an amateur basis in the Third Division North gambling FC Nelson at. There he was initially part of the reserve team in the Lancashire Combination , and knew how to convince in the position of the right wing runner when he won the league championship with the team by a considerable margin. On the last day of the 1925/26 season he came in a 2: 4 away defeat against the Tranmere Rovers to his debut in the Football League. In the following season, in which he was promoted to professional in October 1926, he played mostly in the reserve team. Only on the last three match days he moved back to the Football League team, a point win again failed.

Bailey was also part of the squad for the 1927/28 season, but without further use in the Football League he finally left the club in January 1928 and joined Great Harwood FC within the Lancashire Combination , of which he was also captain. For the 1930/31 season he moved to league rivals Lancaster Town before playing for Rossendale United from March 1931 to summer 1934 . As his last documented station is the FC Morecambe , for which he was active after participating in a test match in the 1934/35 season and made 45 league (2 goals) and nine cup appearances.
