Frank Souffront
Frank Souffront Avellanet (* in Mayagüez ; † October 30, 1995 ) was a Puerto Rican singer.
Souffront appeared frequently in programs on the WPRA radio station, where it was given the name Moneró de Mayagüez . He has performed in Puerto Rico with the orchestra of William Manzano and was a member of the orchestras of Frank Madera , Carlos López and Moncho Leña . He later went to New York, where he took part in Héctor Rivera's production Lez's Cha Cha Cha (1957) and was a member of René Touzet's orchestra . In the Orquesta Bouffartique he shared the vocal part with Eladio Peguero and Tony Molina .
With the Orquesta Dicupé he recorded hits like Pescando, Pescando , La Changa , Aquellos rumberos and Los que no hagan como yo in the 1970s . After his return to Puerto Rico he was associated with Edil Rivera's orchestra until his death . His brothers Víctor Manuel and José Luis Soufffront also became known as musicians.
