František Xaver Naske

František Xaver Naske (born June 2, 1884 in Prague ; † August 22, 1959 there ) was a Czech painter, decorator and illustrator.

He attended primary school in Adamov u Brna . He later graduated from the Art Academy under Professors Roubalík and Schweiger. He then went on study trips to the Netherlands , Belgium and London . He mainly painted portraits of important people alive at the beginning of the century. In addition, Naske designed costumes and masks. He was married to the film and theater actress Růžena Nasková .
