Franz-Josef Ortkemper
Franz-Josef Ortkemper (born November 2, 1939 in Beckum ) is a German biblical scholar.
Ortkemper studied Catholic theology in Münster and Munich and was ordained a priest on March 27, 1965. From 1972 to 1979 he was the rector of the Franz-Wärme-Haus in Münster. Then he was pastor of the St. Elisabeth parish in Recklinghausen for ten years. From 1989 to 2009 he was director of the Catholic Biblical Works in Stuttgart. His list of publications includes hundreds of publications.
