Franz Ekkamp

Franz Ekkamp (born October 13, 1950 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and was a member of the Vienna State Parliament from March 1995 to November 2015 and a member of the Vienna City Council .

School and professional career

After finishing school, Ekkamp began an apprenticeship at Siemens in 1965 . After completing his apprenticeship, he worked at Siemens as a skilled worker and works council.

Political career

Franz Ekkamp has worked for the SPÖ since 1971. In 1987 he was in the district representation Dobling selected. Since 1991 he has been a member of the district party executive. In January 1994 Ekkamp rose from a simple district council to club chairman of the SPÖ in the Döblingen district council. In March 1995 he moved to the Vienna state parliament and local council. Ekkamp has since represented the SPÖ in the state parliament and local council and was active in the 18th electoral term in the “Finance, Economic Policy and Wiener Stadtwerke” committee, in the “Integration, Women's Issues, Consumer Protection and Personnel” committee and in the incompatibility committee.

Private

Franz Ekkamp is married and has one daughter.
