Franz Fuchs (politician, 1912)

Franz Fuchs (born February 7, 1912 in Berg bei Rohrbach , † July 15, 1968 in Rohrbach ) was an Austrian worker and politician ( ÖVP ). From 1955 to 1967 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag .

Life

Franz Fuchs was the sixth of seven children of a smallholder . After attending elementary school, he first worked as a farm worker, then a stoker and machinist in a leather factory. Early on, he became involved in the Reich Association of Catholic Youth. In World War II, Fox was wounded in Africa, in 1945 he finally arrived in French captivity. After his return he worked again as a stoker at the same leather factory, where he also became a works council and finally works council chairman.

From 1946 Fuchs was a board member of the Chamber of Labor Upper Austria; In addition, he was a member of the General Assembly of the Main Board of Social Insurance and a member of the Board of Directors of the workers' pension insurance . In addition, Fuchs was chairman of the Catholic workers' association in Rohrbach.

Fuchs had been married since 1946 and had three children. He died of a blood disease in 1968.

From 1949 to 1952, Fuchs was a local councilor in Berg; after moving to Rohrbach he was also a councilor there. From 1955 to 1967 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag. Fuchs was a member of the ÖVP state party leadership, district chairman of ÖAAB Rohrbach and deputy chairman of ÖAAB Upper Austria and a member of the ÖAAB federal executive committee.
