Franz Hillebrand (politician)

Franz Hillebrand (born February 14, 1918 in Brilon ; † July 4, 1984 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Hillebrand completed his school education in 1938 with the Abitur. He then did labor service and then military service until 1945. Since 1946 Hillebrand was active in the higher judicial service.

Hillebrand had been a member of the CDU since 1960. From 1962 he was chairman of the party in Brilon. A year later he became deputy district chairman.

Hillebrand had been a member of the city council of Brilon since 1961. In 1963 he was elected mayor . In addition, since 1964 he was a member of the district council of the Brilon district and deputy district administrator.

On October 23, 1965, together with the French mayor Delannoy, he signed the partnership document for German-French friendship with the northern French city of Hesdin .

Hillebrand belonged in the seventh electoral term (1970-1975) to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia as a directly elected member of the constituency 134 (Brilon).
