Franz Josef Shepherd
Franz Josef Hirt (born February 7, 1899 in Lucerne ; † May 20, 1985 in Bern ) was a Swiss pianist .
From 1930 Hirt led a concert training class at the Bern Conservatory . For his commitment to contemporary French music, the French government honored him in 1927 with the Palmes académiques , in 1948 with the title of Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur and in 1957 with the title of Officier de la Légion d'honneur . He was appointed by Alfred Cortot to the Paris Ecole normal de Musique .
