Franz Polzer

Franz Polzer (born February 18, 1929 in Kohfidisch ) is an Austrian state official in peace and a former politician ( SPÖ ). From 1982 to 1991 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Polzer was born as the son of the bricklayer Franz Polzer from Kohfidisch and attended the technical college in Graz after the elementary and secondary school. Subsequently, he worked as a surveying technician at the agricultural district authority in Graz and from 1964 he was employed by the quality route construction department of the Oberwart building district office. From 1950 Polzer was employed by the Burgenland Provincial Government and worked in the department for agricultural engineering matters.

Polzer is married and has 3 sons, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

politics

Polzer was involved in local politics in his home community and was mayor of Kohfidisch from 1967 to 1989 . He was also a member of the SPÖ state party executive from 1983 and a member of the BEWAG supervisory board between 1973 and 1982 . Polzer represented the SPÖ from January 18, 1982 to July 18, 1991 in the Burgenland Landtag.
