Franz Schöberl (politician)

Franz Schöberl (born August 11, 1895 in Spitz an der Donau , † July 26, 1977 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and wine maker. Schöberl was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1945 to 1964 .

Schöberl worked as a winemaker in Spitz an der Donau and did his military service from 1915 to 1919. He was awarded the professional title of Economics Council. He was involved in local politics, where he was a councilor in Spitz between 1924 and 1938 and held the office of mayor from 1945 to 1965. In addition, from 1950 he was chairman of the district chamber of farmers and the Wachau winegrowers' cooperative, ÖVP district party chairman and from 1949 to 1966 chairman of the Association of Lower Austrian community representatives of the ÖVP. Schöberl represented the ÖVP between December 12, 1945 and November 19, 1964 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
