Franz Schemmer

Franz Schemmer (* 1960 in Cologne ) is a German lawyer . He has been a judge at the Federal Administrative Court since June 3, 2015 .

Life

In February 1993, after completing his legal training, Schemmer began his work as a judge at the Cologne Administrative Court. The University of Cologne earned him a doctorate in law in June 1994. In February 1996 he was appointed judge at the Administrative Court. In April 2002 he was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant for three years. In October 2006 he was appointed judge at the Higher Administrative Court. He was then transferred to the Higher Administrative Court for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . In September 2012 he was appointed presiding judge at the Higher Administrative Court. The Presidium of the Federal Administrative Court assigned Schemmer to the 7th Revision Senate of the German Federal Administrative Court .
