Franz Xaver Boehm

Franz Xaver Böhm (born October 7, 1960 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian entrepreneur, politician ( ÖVP ) and former member of the Austrian National Council .

education and profession

Böhm attended elementary school from 1967 and 1971 and then a federal high school , where he passed the Matura in 1979 . He then completed a business vocational college between 1979 and 1980 and did military service from 1980 to 1981.

Böhm worked as an authorized signatory in his parents' company from 1981 and 1984 and has been the owner of the Böhm welding technology company in Salzburg and Innsbruck since 1985 . Between 1992 and 1998 he was also the managing director of Spa in Verona . In addition, Böhm is the managing director of Böhm Handels GesmbH. In 2001 Böhm was awarded the title of Commercial Councilor.

Franz Xaver Böhm was elected local group chairman of the Austrian Economic Association of Salzburg- Schallmoos in 1997 and became deputy chairman in the Salzburg-Stadt district in 2000. In 2000, Böhm was elected to the district management of the Salzburg City Chamber of Commerce and from 2000 onwards he became a member of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce in the trade division. In 2000, he became Vice Chairman of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce in the machine trade and member of the Federal Machine Trade Committee in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. Since 2001 he has also been a lay judge at the Linz Higher Regional Court and a member of the advisory board of the Salzburg Regional Health Insurance Fund.

Böhm represented the ÖVP in the National Council between December 20, 2002 and October 29, 2006.

Private

Böhm is married and has a son and a daughter.
