Franziska Gottwald

Franziska Gottwald (* 1971 in Marburg an der Lahn ) is a German mezzo-soprano .

biography

Franziska Gottwald began her vocal training at the age of 16 under the guidance of Eugen Rabine and then studied singing in Saarbrücken, Hanover and Weimar. She took master classes with Elio Battaglia , Norman Shetler and Dennis Russel . She was later permanently engaged for four seasons at the German National Theater Weimar . She has also appeared in Seoul, Toulouse, Tokyo, Basel, Wiesbaden, at the Komische Oper Berlin and the Semperoper Dresden. She also works with the MDR Symphony Orchestra , the NDR Symphony Orchestra , the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra . Today she works as a singing teacher in addition to her concert activities.
