Career
Nickel began her career with Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam (until 1999 SSV Turbine Potsdam ) before playing for W-League participant Chicago Cobras in 2001 . For the 2001/02 season the Bundesliga they returned to Potsdam back and celebrated with the championship in 2003/04 , as well as winning the UEFA Women's Cup a year later, their greatest successes. After she had only ever played one league for Potsdam in these two seasons, she ended her career.
