Fraomar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fraomar (Latin Fraomarius ) was briefly from 370 to 371 Alemannic Gau king of the Bucinobanten .

In 370 an attempt by the Roman emperor Valentinian I failed to capture the king of the Bucinobanten Makrian with the help of the Burgundians . In his place Fraomar was installed as king, but he could not assert himself with the Bucinobanten, so that the Romans finally had to grant the former king Makrian an alliance treaty in 371.
