Frauke Untiedt

Frauke Untiedt (* 1971 in Neumünster ) is a German librarian and has been the head of Hamburg's public library since September 2019 .

After studying library and documentation at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences , she first worked at the University Library Center of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Düsseldorf city libraries . In November 2007 she moved to the Hamburg library as head of the natural science and technology department. In 2009 she took over the management of the central library services, and in 2017 also that of the Hühnerposten central library .

Untiedt is considered a nationally recognized expert u. a. for the digitization of libraries. She is chair of the joint management committee of the German Library Association (dbv) and the Association of German Librarians e. V. (VDB).
