Frecker Ridge is a mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises steeply along the western flank of the Kirkby Glacier in the Anare Mountains .
Participants of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) made the naming. It is named after Ron Frecker of the Royal Australian Air Force , who took part in a flight during the 1962 ANARE to explore the coast off the ridge.
