Fred rebel
Fred Rebell (born April 22, 1886 in Ventspils , † November 10, 1968 ) was an Australian single-handed sailor .
He sailed from Sydney , Australia on December 31, 1931 , to the port of San Pedro in Los Angeles , where he arrived on January 8, 1933. This made him the first single-handed sailor to cross the Pacific from west to east.
