Freddy Fred is a Franco-Belgian comic created by Jijé .
The story of a mysterious key, the disappearance of which leads the title character to British India, appeared between April and November 1939 as Freddy Fred et le mystère de la clef hindoue in Spirou . For Jijé, it was the first sequel story the magazine published since he was hired the previous year. From July 1939 to May 1940 there was another reprint in Le Croisé under the title Freddy aux Indes .
Dupuis published the album in 1947. In 2001, the work was also part of the 16th volume of the complete edition Tout Jijé .
